This micro wedding, with a total of just 14 of the bride and groom's closest friends as guests, was truly one of the joys and highlights of Summer 2021 for me. C&D hired me back in May 2020 to support them in planning and styling their celebrations in Tuscany - sadly, the pandemic meant that their destination wedding was not to be, but NOTHING was going to stop this couple having the heartfelt, fun, gorgeous day they'd been dreaming of.
We brought European vibes to the couple's own backyard with candles, festoon lights, dried florals, paella, and a delicious colour palette made up of shades of terracotta. So many elements of the day were completely DIY (like the hair & make-up and florals all done by the bride, and the wooden bar that they built together!), and I'm so, so proud of this couple for making it through such a tough wedding planning journey with so much grace, ingenuity, and creativity.
