In July 2019 I styled the spaces and models for a photographer's workshop held at The Asylum, in London. We wanted to design a stylish wedding that would inspire creative, non-traditional, innovative couples that are looking to have a unique celebration in the city. The colour palette explored shades of pink, scarlet, orange, and some playful accents in blue framed by crisp black lines - colourful, but with a bit of modern edge. We loved the idea of pairing bold block colours with one another, and then adding depth by introducing contrasting mixed-media textures. We used acrylic, wood, neon, tulle, and vellum to make the tablescape a tactile and visual experience, and complemented it with scents of pink pepper and ripe fruit. We were inspired by the bright colour palette trends we've been seeing in Australia and wanted to bring a little taste of that to London in a contemporary way.
